ABOUT

Amy and Liz grew up surrounded by beautiful interiors and objects. Exposed from a young age to modern art, good design, and beautiful antiques, their family spent many weekends antiquing throughout the South and later in their teen years, in the Hamptons and Connecticut. Growing up, their family homes were always under renovation. These experiences are sources of inspiration and influence their style.

LIZ KAHN

Liz graduated from Emory University in 1995 and began working in Marketing. She and her husband, Josh, moved to the Bay Area from Atlanta in 1996 to work in technology. In 1998, Liz and Josh started purchasing, redesigning, and flipping homes. Since then, they’ve taken on projects in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Burlingame, and Hillsborough. Liz officially opened her interior design business, Liz Kahn Design, in 2015.

Her most challenging and rewarding project to date is her current home and showroom in Hillsborough. She worked with Greg Gambrioli of RG Developments to transform a dilapidated 1937 Monterey Colonial into an old world French inspired traditional colonial. Of course, there are many unexpected edgy modern furnishings, art and light fixtures to keep it interesting.

Liz lives in Hillsborough with her husband, two daughters (who like her, have grown up in a home under constant renovation), and two dachshunds.
